About Us

Kamaal S. Ahmad is an educational leader, the Curriculum and Student Engagement Director at the Islamic School of Louisville, and the founder of KAES Educational Consulting. With over 13 years of experience spanning school administration, instructional coaching, and Special Education, Kamaal specializes in building high-performing, inclusive learning environments. He has a proven track record of systemic program creation, having successfully established competitive athletic programs and a championship-caliber debate program from the ground up—culminating in his selection as the 2026 Wilson Wyatt Debate League Middle School Coach of the Year and his election to the league's Board of Directors.

A former University of Kentucky football player and Kentucky Golden Gloves Heavyweight Boxing champion, Kamaal spent six years in collegiate athletics at Weber State University, serving as the Director of Football Operations, Recruiting Coordinator, and NFL Liaison. His unique background in organizational logistics, talent strategy, and high-stakes compliance directly shapes his systematic approach to effective school operations, leadership development, and team dynamics.

Driven by passion

For over a decade, Kamaal has designed and delivered impactful professional development for public school districts and private institutions alike. He holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership & Policy, a B.S. in Special Education, and a B.A. in Philosophy. Currently pursuing an M.A. in Islamic Leadership at The Islamic Seminary of America, he uniquely bridges evidence-based instructional frameworks (like MTSS and Explicit Instruction) with universal leadership values—such as Empathy, Service, and Integrity—to move schools beyond compliance and toward genuine student agency in positive, transformative environments
